 El cerebro, una herramienta desconocidaLos científicos están
lejos de haber contestado a todas las preguntas sobre el cerebro, y
probablemente nunca lo conseguirán. Se modifican las teorías en función de los
nuevos descubrimientos sobre su funcionamiento, pero a pesar de toda la atención
que recibe el cerebro, cierto número de omisiones fundamentales siguen todavía oscureciendo
su comprensión. La investigación en Neurociencias: el mayor desafío
del siglo XXI Cada semana, los
medias y los centros de investigación hablan de una actualidad o de un
descubrimiento en neurociencias. La investigación es un trabajo largo, costoso y
sin embargo portador de avances mayores y esperanza.  A pesar de un
siglo de investigaciones activas, los científicos ignoran todavía lo que ocurre
en este órgano de menos de un kilogramo y medio, esta sede de toda actividad
consciente humana. Muchos han intentado atacarse a estas preguntas examinando
los sistemas nerviosos de organismos más pequeños. De hecho hace ya 15 años que los
investigadores han cartografiado las conexiones de cada una de las 302 células nerviosas de la "lombriz" Caenorhabditis elegans. Sin embargo, el diagrama de
cableado de este minúsculo gusano poco ha ayudado en
entender cómo estas
conexiones dan a luz a sus comportamientos hasta rudimentarios, como
alimentarse y reproducirse.En el humano, la dificultad
encontrada para establecer un vínculo entre anatomía y comportamiento es aún
mayor. Los medias enseñan a menudo imágenes cerebrales demostrando que zonas
particulares del cerebro se activan cuando uno se siente rechazado, cuando se
habla un idioma extranjero, etc… Estas noticias pueden dar la impresión que las técnicas
actuales proveen nuevos conocimientos fundamentales sobre el funcionamiento del
cerebro. Es una falsa impresión. El ejemplo de la “Neurona Jennifer Aniston” Un ejemplo
notable de esta ilusión es un estudio reciente y muy mediatizado, en el que se
ha identificado una célula cerebral particular que emitió una señal eléctrica en
reacción a la vista de la cara de la actriz americana Jennifer Aniston. Aunque
causó sensación, el descubrimiento de la “neurona Jennifer Aniston” no nos mueve
mucho hacia adelante. Seguimos en la más total ignorancia de la manera en la
que las impulsiones eléctricas de esta neurona influencian sobre la capacidad a
reconocer la cara de Jennifer Aniston y a establecer un vínculo con la serie de televisión Friends en la que actúa la actriz. Para
que el cerebro reconozca la actriz, un extenso conjunto de neuronas debe
probablemente activarse, neuronas que hablan entre sí a través de un código todavía
no descifrado.  La neurona Jennifer
Aniston también es un buen ejemplo del cruce de caminos en el que se encuentran
las neurociencias. Disponemos de técnicas que nos permiten registrar la
actividad de neuronas aisladas en el cerebro humano. Pero para progresar de
verdad, los investigadores necesitan nuevas técnicas que les permitirán sondear
y modificar la actividad eléctrica de miles, aun millones de neuronas – técnicas
capaces de descifrar lo que Santiago Ramón y Cajal (1852-1934), pionero de la neuroanatomía,
llamaba “las junglas impenetrables donde se han perdido muchos investigadores”.
Se piden a gritos nuevas tecnologías Con tales
descubrimientos metodológicos, se podría, en teoría, llenar poco a poco las
carencias de nuestro conocimiento de la sucesión de eventos que ocurren entre
la activación de las neuronas, y la cognición (percepción, emoción, tomar decisión)
y, al fin de cuentas, la conciencia misma. El descifrar esquemas precisos de la
actividad cerebral subyacente al pensamiento y a los diversos comportamientos proveerá
también con información esencial sobre el disfuncionamiento de los circuitos
neuronales en trastornos psiquiátricos y neurológicos como la esquizofrenia, el
autismo, las enfermedades de Alzheimer o Parkinson. Algunas llamadas
a desarrollar más adelante las técnicas de investigación del cerebro han
empezado a ser escuchadas fuera de los laboratorios. De hecho, la administración
del presidente americano Barack Obama anuncio en el 2013 el lanzamiento de una
extensa iniciativa a favor del desarrollo de neurotecnologías innovadoras,
llamado BRAIN (Brain Research through Advancing Innovative Neurotechnologies, o
Investigación sobre el Cerebro por el Desarrollo de Neurotecnologías Innovadoras).
Esta iniciativa constituyó en aquel mandato, el esfuerzo más visible dedicado a
la ciencia pesada, la “Big Science”.  El proyecto
BRAIN, inicialmente financiado a altura de 100 millones de dólares (74 millones
de euros) en 2014, aspira a desarrollar técnicas permitiendo registrar las
señales eléctricas y químicas emanando de células cerebrales en mayor número,
incluso de zonas enteras del cerebro. BRAIN viene complementar otros grandes
proyectos de neurociencias llevados a cabo fuera de EEUU. El proyecto Human Brain Project (Proyecto del Cerebro Humano) financiado por la Unión Europea, es un
esfuerzo de investigación de 1,2 mil millones de euros repartidos durante diez
años, que tiene como objetivo elaborar una simulación informática del conjunto
del cerebro. Ambiciosos proyectos también se lanzaron en China, Japón, y en
Israel. El consenso mundial que empuja actualmente a invertir en la investigación
sobre el cerebro, recuerda a otras iniciativas posguerras de investigación científicas
y tecnológicas, concentradas en prioridades nacionales urgentes: la energía y
el armamento nucleares, la exploración espacial, la informática, las energías alternativas,
la secuenciación de genomas. A partir de ahora, es el siglo del cerebro que se
abre delante de nosotros.Rastrear cómo las células cerebrales
forjan el concepto de Jennifer Aniston (u otra entidad mental) constituye de
momento un obstáculo insuperable. Esto exige pasar de una medida efectuada
sobre una sola neurona a la comprensión de la manera en la que una reunión de
neuronas establece interacciones complejas para crear una entidad global – lo que
los científicos llaman una prioridad emergente. El
Neuro-Training, una técnica del siglo XXI La Kinesiología
ha descubierto más fenómenos cerebrales de los que puedan explicar las teorías actuales
y seguirá siendo una fuente de información sobre las funciones neurológicas durante
muchas de las décadas por venir. La Kinesiología ha revelado diversas maneras
de influenciar el cerebro y las funciones cerebrales poniendo en evidencia las
varias relaciones entre el cerebro y el resto del cuerpo. Los resultados
obtenidos con la aplicación de técnicas de Kinesiología demuestran la manera en
la que el cerebro intenta funcionar en diversas circunstancias, produciendo los

para llegar al resultado, el Neuro-training consigue trabajar en la

I believe what you published was actually very logical.
But, consider this, suppose you added a little content?
I mean, I don't want to tell you how to run your blog, however
suppose you added something to possibly get folk's attention? I mean El cerebro y las
neurociencias is a little vanilla. You could look at Yahoo's front page and note how they create article titles to grab people interested.
You might add a related video or a picture or two to grab people excited about what you've got to say.
Just my opinion, it could bring your posts a little bit more interesting.
But, consider this, suppose you added a little content?
